RECIPE PRESENTATION PRACTICAL ENGLISH 1st BACHILLERATO

Over the week the students of 1st Bachillerato practical English of the IES Enric Valor High School in Picanya have been doing their oral presentations on their favourite cooking recipes.Some of them have even cooked their dish and brought it to the class so that the rest could taste and enjoy it, Yummie, yummie!!
On Friday we also celebrated Melanie´s birthday .She put the candles on the rainbow cake, Claudia lit them and everybody sang along Happy Birthday!!

Curiosities

Hick; red neck;rube(Am E, slang) - a person from the countryside who is considered to be stupid and without experience. (paleto, pueblerino)

Party crasher-one who attends a party without having been invited. ( un "colado" en una fiesta sin ser invitado)

Party pooper;Killjoy(slang )-aguafiestas

IDIOMS and EXPRESSIONS-

To break a leg- in theatre it is used to wish a performer good luck. Well-wishers typically say "Break a leg" to actors and musicians before they go on stage to perform.
